HI GOD, WHAT’S UP?
What did you do as soon as you opened your eyes this morning? Have you had a quick chat with God? The real question is: Did you START your day with PRAYER?.
"Hi, God what’s up? It’s me, your daughter. I just want to say thank you… " - that's how I usually start my conversations with God. Let's start identifying prayer as a 1-2-1 conversation with God, one that must be held on the daily.
Prayer is not an option for a believer. Prayer strengthens your relationship with God and allows the Holy Spirit to establish himself deeper within you: therefore you must pray everyday. I see prayer as an act of pouring your soul before the Lord (1 Samuel 1:15), crying to heaven (2 Chronicles 32:20), seeking God and making supplication (Job 8:5), drawing near to God (Psalm 73:28), bowing on your knees before His throne (Ephesians 3:14). You don’t need a specific vocabulary when praying because God knows you and sees your heart. Even without having said a word, he already knows our thoughts.
Besides when you cannot find the right words to speak to our Father, the Holy Spirit (who resides in us) speaks on your behalf (Romans 8:26). Do not let prayer be optional for you because every Christian needs prayer to become steadfast in the Lord. No matter your current situation or your past, go down on your knees and have a proper conversation with Him because he will surely listen (Jeremiah 9:13). Let your prayers be genuine, sincere, offered with reverence and godly fear and faith. Remember that whenever you call on His name He will answer because He is a loving Father who does not abandon His children. If God answered Jacob’s prayer (Genesis 32:24-30), Daniel’s prayer (Dan 2:16-23) and many more, why wouldn’t he listen to yours? Because of your past? Because of the sins, you have committed? Remember! He is the loving father who welcomes His children with His arms wide open whenever they repent and run back to Him.
The first thought that should fill your mind when you wake up is PRAYER! Pray to God and thank Him! Whenever you get the chance, even 1 min just say “Hey God, it’s me!” and start talking to Him. Let Him be your best friend. Let that 1-2-1 conversation be constant. Pray without ceasing! (1 Thessalonians 5:17) Make PRAYER a HABIT!
Father Lord, it is me, Catherine, I just want to thank you for your love, kindness & grace, I thank you for the life of whoever is reading this blog. Father may you strengthen them, may your Holy Spirit reside in them. I pray that whatever season they are going through, no matter how hard it is, let them seek your face. I pray they speak to you and I know that you will answer them because your are the God who answers our prayers, you are the God who does not leave nor forsake His children. Father I pray for peace and happiness in your people's lives.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
THANK YOU LORD
