GOD’S TIMING
Human beings are in a constant rush, always looking for the quickest solutions for everyday life. The question is: Is it worth it? Will it last? Jesus said that we are not of this world (John 17:16). We are the children of the Most High God, we are not to walk at the same pace with the world but be more than just regular human beings, we are peculiar people (1 Peter 2:9). It is easy to say that God's timing is the best but it is so difficult to actually go by it and apply it in our lives. This is where the Holy Spirit comes in: to help us and steady us, convict us when we are trying to go before God.
With God being our creator and our master, who are we to try to reach a destination, a place when He has not spoken and confirmed to us yet? Remember that the bible tells us to wait on the Lord and that the Lord is always good to those who wait for Him.
The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. (Lamentations 3:25 NKJV)
Patience builds us, brings us closer to God, allows us to completely enjoy His presence and desire it more and more. Patience enables us to hear God's instructions clearly. When we wait we get to enjoy the results of that patience, we get to see the beauty of God's plan and purpose.
Whether you have an important decision to make or even the simplest one, all should be presented before God in prayer. The word of God does not says that we need to pray for some of the things in our lives but for all. This includes even the smallest things and decisions:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6 NIV)
