DO NOT LET YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED
THE WAIT IS NECESSARY BECAUSE YOU DO NOT WANT TO RUSH… over speeding leads to CRUSH…
I bet nobody likes the wait, right? Especially when it involves God’s timing… We find it difficult to wait for God’s timing but yet still we wait when there is traffic, we wait in queues in a supermarket, we wait for trains, we wait for busses we wait in the queue until it is our turn. My question is, why do we find it difficult to wait when it comes to God?. Why do we always want to rush, anticipate certain attainment? Why do we want to do it in our way rather than consulting God and waiting for His intervention?
Let’s try to understand together the meaning of the verb “to wait”, the oxford dictionary posits that to wait is the action of staying where you are or delaying doing something until somebody/something comes or something happens.
Well, as the title of the blog said at the beginning it is better to trust God & wait rather than to rush & crush. In our scenario the waiting is the process of holding on trusting God and letting Him work in His way, own timing without us interrupting (rushing him, taking the short roads, doing things our way).
Waiting on God in the process of becoming what God wants us to be. During this process, you must put your trust in Him, be patient (1 Peter 5:6) and most importantly have faith. He created us; He is our father; He knows us better than anyone does. knows our needs and wants, and he is working on our behalf, (Jeremiah 29: 11-12).
Waiting makes us understand that we are not God and our lives are in His hands. Waiting on God allows Him to do His work in His timing.
Devon Franklin and Megan Good identified the waiting period as the critical period between wanting and getting. Want WAIT Get. The gap or space between those two words is the time where you put all your trust in God, that is the period where you put your focus on God, you reinforce your relationship with God.( Psalm 130:5, I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope).
That period of wait makes us understand that God is the centre of it all, God is in control of everything and we are not in charge of our own lives. Meaning that we cannot make decisions without consulting God, we cannot wake up and just do whatever we like... Sometimes what we like are not things that God intended to put in our lives. Sometimes, we chase dreams that were not designed for us, and because we are impatient, we just go ahead chasing them and this blocks or delay your period of GETTING. Romans 10:11 and Psalm 25:3 makes us understand the period of wait is necessary because when we put our trust in Him and believe in Him we will not be put into shame or will not be disappointed by the results of our impatient choices.
God is the great mover. We are to push, to work. And if we wait, inpatient trust, remembering that God is in control doing his work increasing our strength, we will experience the move of God on our lives. I pray that we become patient and wait on God’s timing and we put all our hope and faith in Him because he is our father and knows what is best for us.
Be patient! SPEAK to Him! Fix your eyes on Him! WAIT! Trust Him! Have faith in Him! Wait!
Wait because it is necessary! Wait because he will renew your strength, he will not fail you! Once you rush, you’ll crush and get disappointed.
He makes all things beautiful in His timing so be patient and wait on Him.
