CONGRATS, YOU MADE IT!
Today is the day you’ve been waiting for, anxiously or not. Still the day you finally receive your a-level results has been a landmark in your life. It has been a tough journey with lots of fear, tears, worrying. Some of you also had to deal with circumstances at home, as if academic struggles weren’t enough! Friendships that you thought would last forever have been suddenly cut short. You’ve realised that people change, and it’s ok to move on. You’ve managed to navigate through the obstacle race, jumped through hoops and over hurdles and finally you have reached this point.
Listen: YOU HAVE MADE IT!
Regardless of the grades you got, which university you are or aren’t going to you have still managed to reach a very important destination in your life. Today you should celebrate you. We at YAFC are so grateful to God for you! Why? Because it is by His Grace that you have been able to go through all you had to in order to reach this landmark. We believe that today, whether you opened your results with joy, fear or anxiety, God sees you!
One of the many names God El-roi - “the God who SEES me” He sees your pain, he sees your struggle, he sees the hard work you’ve put in. He sees you today on results today but more importantly He sees where you are going. He has not abandoned you, just surrender and follow his guidance for next steps - whether life is going the way you planned or not. Because we know His ways and thoughts are higher than our own. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean on yer not thy own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path. - Proverbs 3:5
Because God sees you, you need to trust Him. You need to surrender everything to Him because He knows where you are destined and purposed to be. He will gladly show you if you give it all up to Him. Remember, regardless of how you feel today, God is still the same. You are not your feelings, you are who God created you to be.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. - Ephesians 2:10
