PRAYER AND FASTING.
You are invited to join YAFC for a dedicated week (25th - 31st of January 2021) of prayer and fasting at a challenging time for people all over the world. At a such a trying moment like this, it is essential that we all come together to fast and pray to draw spiritual strength, receive grace and to build up our faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:16). On Thursday the 28th and Friday the 29th at 7 pm, we will hold a live prayer session on our Instagram, Facebook and Zoom. The sessions are led by our founder Elizabeth Mbrou along with Auntie Doris.

From the 25th of January to the 31st of January this year(2021),. we have placed aside to fast and pray to God. As this year goes on, we would need the guidance and protection of God on us. Therefore, praying and fasting is essential. On Thursday the 28th and Friday the 29th at 7 pm, we will hold a live prayer session where together we can pray and seek for God’s mercies, blessing and protection. We dedicated the month of OCTOBER to discussing about what prayer and praying together for one another and the world and the people in our world. Some Question we covered included: What exactly is prayer? Are we required to pray? Is there a specific way to pray? Do we have to pray in other tongues? What does it mean to pray in Jesus’ name?

Alive Thursday Season 2 FINAL!
Not even a pandemic could stop God from reaching into the lives our people all over the world. In July 2020 we launched “Alive Thursday Season 1”: a series of weekly Instagram lives with various young people as guests. This was an opportunity for us to discuss about what true worship is and how you can live in worship as well as being blessed by various ministrations (spoken word, poetry, singing). On the last day of this series we were blessed to have SimianeMusic give a special group of 55 people (aged between 12 and 30) a worship workshop…FREE OF CHARGE.
The aim of all of this was and continues to be to equip young people to use their God given gifts and talents to glorify God. Does this sound exciting?

What an amazing line up we have to join us as we celebrate the great things the Lord has done over the course of the Year. Niiella_Official (@niiella_official), JazzieMusik (@jazziemusik) and Mizuaekodi (@mizuaekodi) “The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: “He is good; his love endures forever.” Then the temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the temple of God.” 2 Chronicles 5:13-14

The conference this year we’ll be focusing on FORGIVENESS. REMEMBER as long as you live in bitterness you’re living in the past and until you forgive you’re not free. They say “hurt people hurt people” so this year we want focus on FORGIVENESS. We’ll be focusing on topics like “

5. God the forgiving Father”” Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31-32 NIV)

For our yearly concerts we recruit talented young people from near and far. This is an evening where you can expect to be inspired though music, dance, poetry (and many more) and be encouraged to be on fire for God. The purpose of this event is to encourage young people to identify their gifts and talents and use it to glorify God alone. So why not come along?

CONFERENCES
During our annual conference the youth are challenged through scripture, debates and various activities to aspire for perfection through Christ Jesus. There are open forums where young people can discuss issues that directly affect them in everyday life. Seasoned ministers are made available to answer questions raised and help the youth to find solutions to problems identified. So why not come along?

OUTREACH
YAFC works in partnership with other organisation to meet the urgent needs of people in the local community.
Christian Faith Centre
Over the past 10 years the Christian Faith Centre (a registered charity) has played a major role in the events organised by YAFC by providing their venues for free and offering cash donations to supports our event.
Tesco (Salford)
Early this year Tesco provided YAFC with an opportunity to fundraise(bag packing) in one of their store in order to fundraise for our event.
